*wakes up to this*
Yeah. It's there. Planning to get some secret stuff done eventually, but for now, its just a vanilla minecraft server. No rules. Think of it as the server where you can do *nearly* everything without reprimand. You have the obligatory no hacking rule, and the obligatory don't be the world's biggest wanker.

Will edit Halls post with the super secret way in when I start her up.

Theres an obligation? The way some people go on vanilla servers I thought there was some sort of secret competition for the title.

RE: D'Kodas Server
The problem with personal servers is they can quickly lag out.. d'Koda's and galeners servers are hosted on Hall's computer so its sharing computer power. And because Hall has an awesomesauce Server setup, we all get quality gaming with mostly no lag.

Unlike most of the personal servers users start up.

Running a server on your personal computer for your friends to use is the equivalent of opening multiple copies of a graphic intensive game on your computer and hoping the whole thing doesnt freeze up or crash. if your lucky you may get 1 or two friends to join you, but unless you all have high quality connections and decent computers. it really falls apart fast.

Mostly because A) personal computer internet setups arent designed for multiple routing like that. you basically have a wire in for data, and a wire out for data... and trying to push multiple computers information down it, quickly hogs it up.

By running a dedicated server with correct porting and forwarding, you get something like Hall has.. a computer that can process multiple connections and distribute evenly the information. (something like having a home network, but with remote access ability)
